This check reports the storage usage for a Microsoft Cosmos DB instance, including data usage, index usage, total storage, and document count.

The thresholds for this service can be configured using the rule "Azure Cosmos DB Storage".

A data offset has been implemented to address "partial reporting" in Azure Cosmos DB. Because the database emits data before all partitions have reported, the most recent data point is often artificially low. To prevent these false alarms, the most recent data point is now excluded.

This adjustment results in a 10-minute monitoring delay (comprising the metric interval and a stabilization window). While metrics now reflect the state from 10 minutes prior, alert reliability is significantly increased by eliminating noise caused by data ingestion timing.
