The plug-in monitors the data backend managed via `omd`.

It monitors the availability by issuing a `HTTP GET` request to a dedicated ping endpoint via localhost. It captures and displays all errors encountered during the connection attempt.

Discovery

One service per Checkmk site with the data backend enabled is created. Sites that also report telemetry metrics are covered by that service instead.
