In Checkmk versions 2.0.0i1 to 2.0.0b6 an error could occur when writing certain sets of discovered services in the cmk-update-config step "Rewriting autochecks" or reloading the configuration (cmk -O). The message displayed was "TypeError: '<' not supported between instances of 'str' and 'NoneType'".
