If the option "Disable certificate validation" -> "Ignore unsuccessful validation (in case of TLS/SSL)" under "Mail Receving"/"Connection settings" in the "Check Email" rule configuration is enabled, the corresponding service will return an error

check_mail: error: unrecognized arguments: --fetch-disable-cert-validation

This has now been fixed.
