During an update via omd update, interactive prompts can be suppressed via the options --force and --conflict.
However, the usage of --force is problematic.
It enables updates to editions and versions of Checkmk, which will break the site.
This change introduces new command line options to give callers more control on which prompts should be confirmed, which checks be disabled and what to keep still active.
The new options are alternatives to the so far existing --force.
--confirm-version,--confirm-edition,--ignore-editions-incompatibleand--ignore-versions-incompatible.
For example, the following command will not prompt the user.
omd -V 2.5.0b1.pro update --confirm-edition --confirm-version --conflict install
For the up-to-date information on these flags, omd update -h should be consulted.
The new options cannot be used without the -V option, currently.
