When dual-stack host is monitored, it will conditionally receive a PING IPv4 service or a PING IPv6.
Prior to this change, these services could only be replaced but not disabled.
Now, the Disabled services rule is applied to either service, for either the Checkmk Micro Core or Nagios Core.
The fallback PING service is not affected. A host needs at least one service, and that is the only one such a host has.
Does this affect you?
Only if you already have a Disabled services rule whose service condition matches PING, PING IPv4 or PING IPv6. If so, prior ping services may disappear.
Check your Disabled services rules for these patterns before updating, and restrict the condition if you want to keep monitoring the secondary address family.
