Newer APC InRow cooling units such as the ACRC301S no longer provide the airIRRC objects of the PowerNet-MIB that the services Temperature, Airflow and Fanspeed read. On these units Checkmk discovered none of those services, although the SNMP walk clearly contained the readings.
These units publish their readings in the generic cooling unit status tables
of the PowerNet-MIB instead. The plug-ins apc_inrow_temp, apc_inrow_airflow
and apc_inrow_fanspeed now read these tables as well, so the services are
discovered on newer units too:
- Temperature: one service per sensor the unit reports in degrees Celsius, e.g. Temperature Supply Air, Temperature Rack Inlet 1 or Temperature Entering Chilled Water.
- Airflow: the unit's airflow in liters per second.
- Fanspeed: the fan speed in percent.
Older InRow units that provide the airIRRC objects are monitored as before.
Note that the default lower levels of Airflow (500/200 l/s) stem from older
units. A smaller unit running at low fan speed may report less and go WARN;
adjust the ruleset Airflow levels in that case.
