Previously, opening Setup > Agents > Other operating systems offered agent files that are provided by monitoring plugins — for example the Oracle plugin's mk-oracle files. Clicking one of these files resulted in an error stating that the file could not be downloaded, because the generated download link was malformed.
This has been fixed. These files are now served through a dedicated download handler and can be downloaded from this page again.
Files provided by the monitoring plugins shipped with your Checkmk version are served without a Checkmk login, just like the agent files below share/check_mk/agents have always been.
Files provided by locally installed monitoring plugins — for example from an extension package (MKP) — are not: downloading them requires a login and the Download agents permission.
The download page marks their sections accordingly.
