If you monitor HPE iLO devices via Redfish, the Network adapter
services no longer go to WARN just because a port of the adapter is
not in use. Rediscover the services of affected hosts to apply the fix.
Until then, existing services behave as before.
The check now monitors only the ports that were up at discovery:
- A monitored port goes down or is no longer reported:
CRIT - A port that was down at discovery comes up:
WARNuntil you rediscover the service - A port that was down at discovery stays down: ignored
Background: iLO reports unused ports as unhealthy and rolls that into
the health state of the whole adapter. It does not say what caused an
adapter warning, so the check ignores it whenever an unused port reports
the same severity. The change covers every adapter that lists its ports
in HPE's Redfish extension. The service summary also no longer shows
the WARN next to the part number.
