Previously, the VEEAM Job service of a Veeam Agent backup policy that is managed by the agent could be OK although the backup of one of its protected computers ended with Warning or Failed.

The result Veeam reports for such a policy only reflects applying the policy to the protected computers. The computers then run their backups themselves, each in its own session, and the Veeam agent plug-in did not collect these sessions.

The agent plug-in now also reports the last finished backup of each computer that is currently protected by such a policy. The VEEAM Job service of the policy now lists every computer whose last backup ended with Warning or Failed, and its state reflects the worst of them. If more than three computers have problems, the service shows their number and lists them in the details. Computers without problems and computers without a finished backup yet are listed in the details as well. A backup that is still running does not change the state, and computers that were removed from the policy are no longer considered. If the protected computers cannot be determined, the service goes UNKNOWN.

To benefit from this, update the Veeam agent plug-in (veeam_backup_status.ps1) on your Veeam backup servers. Jobs that are managed by the backup server are not affected.
