You can now use the password you previously used for authenticating with the appliances Web Configuration for authenticating on the local console.
The configuration has been changed a bit. You need to set these options via the configuration at the local Console. It takes 3 steps to configure:
a) set a device password (Used to authenticate the user via web or console) b) enable/disable the Web Configuration c) enable/disable the Console Login
When you have enabled the Web Configuration in previous versions, it is left enabled. You don't need to take any action here. When you just want to enable authentication at the console, go to the "Console Login" option at the Console (F1 > Console Login) and enable it.
The login at the Console has an inactivity timeout of 5 minutes. So if you do not make any input for 5 minutes, you will be logged out autmatically. You can logout from the Console by choosing "Logout" from the "Actions" menu (F2).
