The hostname of a device is used as part of the auth cookie generating progress. This means, if you change the name of a device, you and all other authenticated users will be logged of from the CMA Web GUI. This has been fixed now at least for the user which is changing the name, the Web GUI is generating a new authentication cookie containing the new hostname.
