When doing a firmware update/downgrade where the versions are incompatible, the user volume needs to be reinitialized. This process needed two reboots, at least on the Check_MK virt1 appliances. This has been fied now to make the process work like this:
a) upload firmware b) reboot c) installing firmware d) reboot e) warning about incompatible user volume, confirm reinit f) reinit g) continue booting
