When updating/downdating from between incompatible versions it is needed that the user volume is being reinitialized. In previous releases the user volume was reinitialized, the boot continued and the user language config was lost. When the language was not set via GUI the device was asking for the device language on the next reboot which could lead to a serious problem because there is eventually no direct access to the local console possible.
The reinit process has now been extended to keep the currently configured language settings even when the user volume has been reinitialized.
