The release 1.2.2 introduced several possible encoding related "UnicodeDecodeError" exceptions which occur only in localized (German) web interface when trying to print error messages to the user.
If you are affected you can workaround this issue by switching to the English languaged web interface without the need to update to version 1.2.4.
