This release introduces a new site migration assistant which makes it very easy to migrate existing sites from other systems to your appliance.
You just need to have SSH access to the source system to either directly login into the site or as other priviliged user (like root).
The migration mechanism can be found in the appliance GUI on the Site Management page. Click on the context button Migrate Site to start a migration, then insert the source host address, source site ID and valid SSH credentials of a user which is able to a) login via SSH and b) able to read all files of the site. Then you can choose whether or not you like to rename the site during migration and if you like to exclude performance or historic data.
After hitting start the migration starts and a progress dialog is showing you information about the migration progress, speed and finally the result.
After completion you can manage your site on the Site Management page as usual.
Please note that the site migration currently only works with sites using a Check_MK version 1.2.7i3p6, 1.2.8b1, a daily build of the master branch 2015-12-21 or any newer release.
The options to exculde RRDs or historic data can be used from daily builds newer than 2016-01-08 and future releases.
