Werk #9213: 32-bit Sites need to be migrated manually in clusters

Component Cluster
Title 32-bit Sites need to be migrated manually in clusters
Date Mar 14, 2016
Level Trivial Change
Class Bug Fix
Compatibility Compatible - no manual interaction needed
Appliance Version 1.3.3

When starting up the active cluster node for the first time after the firmware update from a 32-bit (1.2.x) to 64-bit (1.3.x) firmware, the sites data was automatically converted during startup of the cluster. In case of large setups (10000+ RRDs), this conversion could take a long time which made the startup of the cluster resources fail because of a timeout. Normally the cluster was started afterwards, but the sites weren't started and had to be started manually.

We have now changed the update path of clustered devices as follows: The site data is not converted automatically anymore. After updating a cluster from a 32-bit firmware to 64-bit firmware you will need to navigate to the site management page a trigger the conversion of the data manually.

Other updates (between same architectures) are still working as usual.
