The Check_MK Appliance ships now with a native backup solution. It is able to backup and restore the whole device including all configuration and monitoring data.
The backup is triggered by the device itself and writing the data to either a local directory or, more practically, to a previously mounted network share. Such network shares can now also be managed through the GUI by using the Manage mounts module. The backup is then configured using the Device backup module. You first need to configure your backup target and then create one or multiple backup jobs.
