When trying to create a cluster connection, a validation error could cause an error message with a message "'ascii' codec can't decode byte 0xc3 in position 8: ordinal not in range(128)".
This specific issue occured during the cluster creation, but could also appear in other situations when an error message should be displayed to the user.
This is a regression in 1.4.18. The issue only only affects German localized user interfaces. To workaround the issue with 1.4.18, you could change the language of the appliance web configuration to English.
