The Checkmk Appliance used Nullmailer as the MTA since the beginning of the project. Overall it served us well with it's minimalistic approach and resource consumption.
However, we were facing a few stability and compatibility issues which could not be solved easily.
With this release, we migrated the MTA to Postfix. You don't have to do anything to make it work. Your existing configuration is migrated automatically during the first boot of the appliance after the update to 1.7.0.
