My name’s Aris, and I am the Chief Information Security Officer of Checkmk.

What made you decide to join Checkmk?

The amazing experience I had during the interview process.

How did you come to Checkmk?

Product reputation. I was a happy Checkmk user before joining the company.

What does your working day look like?

Usually it’s one or more of discussing certain topics with colleagues, documentation writing, or thinking on how to best solve complicated problems.

What does a typical work week look like for you?

What fascinates you most about your job at Checkmk and what are your tasks?

Trying to find sustainable solutions to ensure our people and the company stays safe and secure.

What tools/technologies do you work with in your team?

Jira, Confluence and Google Workspace inevitably is our bread and butter. Security tooling comes in as a close second.

What is most important to you in your work life?

Empowering others as much as possible, and feeling productive.

What do you think makes Checkmk or your team in particular special?

I think we are just one piece of a bigger puzzle, and all pieces are important.

I am fond of our Checkmk Conferences. They allow us to mingle with our passionate community, which is usually an intense but rewarding experience.
