Located in the heart of Munich, we launched our first release in 2012. Today, we've expanded to America and grown to a team of more than 250 employees.
Checkmk ensures that IT infrastructures run at peak performance, providing advanced monitoring of cloud, hybrid, and data center infrastructures, as well as modern containers and networks.
Our IT monitoring solution seamlessly integrates within open observability ecosystems and other applications, combining enterprise-grade scalability and automations with the extensibility of open source software.
Tens of thousands of users in more than 50 countries rely on Checkmk to obtain high availability from their IT systems, by preventing outages and minimizing Time-To-Resolution.
What shaped us

2007
Linux and monitoring expert Mathias Kettner founded a consulting business in Munich that would later become the Checkmk GmbH.

2009
The open source monitoring add-on Check_MK was released, setting new standards for IT monitoring.

2012
We leveled up with the launch of Checkmk Raw, our very first official product release.

2014
Munich became the home of the very first Checkmk Conference, a yearly tradition that has united the Checkmk Community ever since.

We surpassed 100 employees and crossed the Atlantic, expanding into North America with a new office in Atlanta, Georgia.

The Checkmk team has grown to include experts from the Asia-Pacific region, ensuring seamless 24/7 support for our customers worldwide.
