Please introduce yourself briefly.

My name is Katja. I have over 15 years of experience in the IT industry and I work as Senior Legal Counsel / Syndikusrechtsanwältin at Checkmk. I specialize in IT law and legal tech. I spend my free time with my family, ideally exploring the mountains.

What made you decide to join Checkmk?

Joining a growing company and working alongside a dedicated team has always been my goal. I am passionate about creating efficient processes and enjoy the unique challenge of shaping our legal department.

What does your workday look like?

My workday is defined by cross-functional collaboration and the translation of complex legal frameworks into pragmatic business advantages. I act as a strategic partner to our Sales organization, navigating the nuances of subscription and service contracts, and providing counsel to Management on corporate decisions.

I also maintain a vital partnership with our Information Security team, aligning legal standards with technical excellence. Whether I am architecting new legal processes or resolving complex compliance inquiries, I find deep professional satisfaction in ensuring that the law serves as a foundation for our commercial success.

At Checkmk, I am fascinated by the energy of a goal-oriented team that handles projects with dedication and a high sense of responsibility.
