Munich, May 20, 2025 – With around 460 participants attending in person and over 400 joining via livestream, the three-day Checkmk Conference #11, organized by Munich-based monitoring specialist Checkmk, kicks off today. The event brings together IT professionals from across the globe at Paulaner am Nockherberg to exchange insights on monitoring trends, share expertise, and deepen their knowledge of the Checkmk platform.
New features in the spotlight
The first two days begin with a Knowledge Fair, giving attendees hands-on access to key technical topics and the opportunity to speak directly with the Checkmk team. Key areas include plugin development and end-to-end application monitoring from the user’s perspective using software robots (synthetic monitoring). In a dedicated consulting clinic, Checkmk consultants offer personalized advice, and new tools like Checkmk AI are available for early testing.
The conference program centers on the release of Checkmk 2.4, which introduces significant advancements for monitoring modern, complex IT environments. Highlights include Quick Setup, which enables semi-automated monitoring of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, and GCP in just minutes. Additional sessions explore the new Notification Hub and enhanced inter-site communication via an improved Piggyback method. The SaaS team also demonstrates how to operate Checkmk efficiently in Kubernetes environments using a scalable management interface — featuring fast onboarding, automated lifecycle management, and multi-tenant support.
Community-driven insights and innovation
On day two, customers and partners present real-world use cases. Three sessions focus on synthetic testing, allowing IT teams to evaluate application availability, performance, and functionality from the end-user’s point of view. One session shows how test robots can now be uploaded, customized, and automatically deployed to target systems via the Checkmk web interface. Two others highlight use cases from the City of Munich and the State Office for Geoinformation and State Survey of Brandenburg (LGB).
Additional presentations provide insight into AI-driven extension development at technology company ABB, the use of Redfish plugins for efficient server monitoring, and how DNS monitoring can help detect failures early in automated environments. The third and final day is dedicated to hands-on workshops.
Throughout the event, attendees are encouraged to provide feedback and help shape the future development of the Checkmk platform.
The Checkmk Conference is more than just an information platform — it’s the central place where we actively shape the future of our product together with our community
