Synthetic Monitoring with Checkmk, Robotmk and Robot Framework [German]
Robot Framework is an open-source test automation framework for acceptance testing and automatic software testing.
It is easy to extend and supports various test libraries and tools, making it suitable for a wide range of use cases. Robotmk allows the integration of test results directly into Checkmk, so that tests can be monitored automatically and appropriate alarms triggered in the event of errors.
Training content
- Safe handling of Python runtime environments
- Robot Framework Fundamentals (= covers the content for the RFCP exam)
- Writing robust CSS/XPath selectors
- Web tests with the browser library (Playwright)
- Robotmk: Integration of Robot Framework in Checkmk
The course takes place on a special web-based learning platform; all participants can apply what they have learned directly in interactive code playgrounds. Integrated control questions provide variety and optimal control of learning objectives.
Requirements
Synthetic monitoring is an advanced topic. Successful participation requires several years of experience with Checkmk, ideally version 2.3 or later.
Training objective
At the end of the course, participants will be able to create end-to-end tests (web and desktop) with Robot Framework, integrate them into their Checkmk environment, and proactively monitor the availability and performance of their business applications.
The training also prepares participants for the Robot Framework Certified Professional (RFCP) exam.
